{"id":7869,"date":"2021-11-25T14:37:35","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T13:37:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ddigitals.net\/?p=7869"},"modified":"2021-11-25T14:37:35","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T13:37:35","slug":"structured-data","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ddigitals.net\/en\/blog\/digital-marketing\/structured-data\/","title":{"rendered":"Structured data: why is it important to take it into account?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>structured data<\/strong> o <em>structured data<\/em> represent a <strong>opportunity<\/strong> more than relevant to conversion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Basically, it consists of specifying in a scheme what is the <strong>highlighted information<\/strong> of the page, so that it can be displayed in the <strong>SERPS<\/strong> or search results, in the form of: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Enriched results<\/strong> o <strong>rich snippets<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"que-aporta-la-informacion-de-datos-estructurados\"><strong>What does structured data information provide?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ddigitals.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/datos-estructurados-conversiones-posicionamiento-1024x741.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7884\" width=\"751\" height=\"543\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Rich results have long since conquered the trend and are no longer just one of Google's latest innovations. These are the featured snippets that include <strong>reviews<\/strong>, <strong>Frequently Asked Questions<\/strong>, <strong>images<\/strong>, <strong>prices<\/strong>, <strong>discounts<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schema information in the code of a specific page <strong>no<\/strong> has to favour his or her <strong>positioning<\/strong> from <strong>direct way<\/strong>. Or so our friend John Muller, the Californian big brother's direct link to the mortal world, had last reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok, to quickly finish with the positioning issue; the good Muller can say that the <strong>only data<\/strong> oriented to <a href=\"https:\/\/ddigitals.net\/en\/blog\/digital-marketing\/seo-guidelines\/\">improving search results<\/a> is precisely the one that is present on the page, the data and labels <strong>OnPage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vale<\/strong>but as we will go over now, if you specify the information in <strong>structured data<\/strong> at relevant addresses on a site <strong>favours<\/strong> the conquest of<strong> enriched results<\/strong>that clearly can <strong>encourage clicking<\/strong>i.e. the CTR, which clearly can <strong>improve<\/strong> the results of <strong>positioning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people have probably heard of structured data reporting before, and many content publishers may even have seen it as an option in major CMSs such as WordPress or Prestashop. This is an option, but it is usually paid for. If we're not on a premium service, we're out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"y-como-se-hace-exactamente\"><strong>And how exactly is this done?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ddigitals.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/datos-estructurados-Schema-Mark-Up.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7885\" width=\"-95\" height=\"-63\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And is it complicated to add structured data information? No, not at all. The easiest way to do it, and probably one of the most widely used, is to enter an <strong>JSON code snippet<\/strong> (JavaScript object notation) on each page where it is considered to be <strong>prioritise<\/strong> as interesting. That is, it is not necessary to do it in all directions of a site.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is relevant in this case is that for <strong>every type of business<\/strong>service, service, entity, organisation, and any type of website, there is a <strong>concrete way<\/strong> to collect the information defined in the service <a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/\"><strong>Schema.org<\/strong><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, every time structured data information is implemented on a page, the first thing to do is to do is to make a <strong>Schema service call<\/strong>The information is then used, so that the trackers are able to interpret that information, so to speak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most typically, and obviously where it is often said that structured data can be most cost-effective, it is in the <strong>product pages<\/strong>. As mentioned above, there are <strong>super interesting information<\/strong> which can be included and which will be displayed directly in the <strong>search results<\/strong>. I think we can put a lot of services in here as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Example: this consists of directly feeding the code of the page, with information about images, ratings, comments, and even the offer information. This is a separate issue, with discount prices and the expiry date of the offer appearing directly in the Google results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-contact-form-7-contact-form-selector\">[contact-form-7 id=\"6826\u2033 title=\"BLOG subscription\"]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dice-google-que-las-faqs-no-son-para-vender-si-tampoco-para-desaprovecharlas\"><strong>Google says FAQS are not for selling, yes, they are not to be wasted either.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another very common form is often the <strong>rich snippets with FAQS<\/strong>. They can also be quite useful and improve click results exponentially. Again, it is a matter of declaring <strong>in the code what are the questions and answers<\/strong> that we would like to indicate as relevant, to be displayed in the SERP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Google guidelines <\/strong>rule that the use of Schema information for FAQS pages should not be used for commercial purposes. No problem, any page of <strong>information explaining a service<\/strong> of a website, it is <strong>susceptible<\/strong> to add a FAQS section and this clearly helps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As has been tried to emphasise, the <strong>structured data<\/strong> can be very useful. It consists of organising priorities and <strong>knowing where to start<\/strong> in this task, as well as identifying opportunities.
